One year later...
One year ago tonight after blowing off one date to replace a damaged iPhone I had dinner with an amazing man. Best dinner ever!
In this year, not every moment was perfect but so many were beyond great, I finally learned to think before I speak, to compromise occasionally, and to not always be right. I don't like every moment but I love every moment together. I'm a lucky girl.
And today, for the first time, he told me loved me. That moment was only 2nd to the moment my son was born.
I wish tonight I could be spending this evening with him. This morning I waited with him until he loaded into the back of a truck and left for Green Ramp. Tonight feels like the longest night I can remember in the longest time. And this is just Day One. I hope today started the 90-day countdown because an extra 2 days seems even more unbearable.
I'll be alright and, more importantly, he'll be back. And when he does get back, we'll do something nice. I don't know what to say other than I miss him and I'm so glad I kept trying.
I love him.
