Fwd: Nothing like a Ford Truck.

Nothing like a Ford Truck.

New Truck built by a company we didn't bail out...

I bought a new Ford F250 Tri-Flex Fuel Truck

Go figure it runs on either hydrogen, gasoline, or E85.
I returned to the dealer yesterday

Because I couldn't get the radio to work.

The service technician explained that the radio was voice activated.

'Nelson,' the technician said to the radio.

The radio replied, 'Ricky or Willie?'

'Willie!' he continued and 'On The Road Again'

Came from the speakers.

Then he said, 'Ray Charles!', and in an instant

' Georgia On My Mind' replaced Willie Nelson.

I drove away happy, and for the next few days,

Every time I'd say, 'Beethoven,'

I'd get beautiful classical music, and if I said,

'Beach Boys,' I'd get one of their awesome songs.

This afternoon, some guy ran a red light

And nearly creamed my new truck ,

But I swerved in time to avoid him.

I yelled, 'Ass Hole!'

Immediately the radio responded with,

Ladies and gentlemen,

The President of the United States

Damn I love this truck....

Common Core in NC

Please do NOT pass this atrocity here in North Carolina.

The 3rd grade students, their parents and teachers are already struggling and suffering from the asinine reading requirements that some befuddled idiot pushed on them. Common core is FAR WORSE!

We want less Federal involvement in NC and this only guarantees more. You would take teachers from actually teaching for the purpose of learning to only teaching based on a test. You will overly stress our students with the constant, absurd tests.

Please, let the teachers teach an get this crap out of our children's classrooms.

Sincerely,
Katie Main

Common Action alert

There is a two hour public hearing scheduled for this Thursday, March 20, 2014, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in Room 643 of the Legislative Office Building.

This meeting is being conducted to accept comment and opinion on implementation of the Common Core State Standards in North Carolina public schools.

The representatives or members on the Common Core Study Committee are as follow (click on name to send them and email):

Jerry.Tillman@ncleg.net
Tim.Moore@ncleg.net
Tom.Apodaca@ncleg.net
If you cannot attend the meeting, will you please send an email to the above Committee Members, stating WHY you are against Common Core. Here are some good reasons....

Non elected boards running the school system and making the test
Not state led, developed or controlled
More debt and costly, more Federal debt involvement
Unproven and untested standards
Unwanted data collection on our students
Teacher's hands are tied made to level the standards, not raise them
A political agenda rather than an educational standard
Thank you for caring about the future of our educational system and the ability for our kids to actually learn, and not be constantly tested!
Please share this email with everyone that you know.

Thank you for caring about the education of our children!
