Common Core in NC
The 3rd grade students, their parents and teachers are already struggling and suffering from the asinine reading requirements that some befuddled idiot pushed on them. Common core is FAR WORSE!
We want less Federal involvement in NC and this only guarantees more. You would take teachers from actually teaching for the purpose of learning to only teaching based on a test. You will overly stress our students with the constant, absurd tests.
Please, let the teachers teach an get this crap out of our children's classrooms.
Sincerely,
Katie Main

Jerry.Tillman@ncleg.net
Tim.Moore@ncleg.net
Tom.Apodaca@ncleg.net
If you cannot attend the meeting, will you please send an email to the above Committee Members, stating WHY you are against Common Core. Here are some good reasons....
Non elected boards running the school system and making the test
Not state led, developed or controlled
More debt and costly, more Federal debt involvement
Unproven and untested standards
Unwanted data collection on our students
Teacher's hands are tied made to level the standards, not raise them
A political agenda rather than an educational standard
Thank you for caring about the future of our educational system and the ability for our kids to actually learn, and not be constantly tested!
Please share this email with everyone that you know.
Thank you for caring about the education of our children!
