Letter I Wrote My Son's Teacher Regarding Snacks
August 27, 2012
Dear Ms. Teacher,
I received your snack calendar, however, I send my son with a snack to school everyday in the side pocket of his backpack. I have no problem with sending/bringing an item or two for class parties and his birthday but I cannot fathom sending or bringing snacks for the class even once per month.
To explain it better: My son is too small to carry that much snack by himself. There really isn't room on the bus for him to "lug" on extra stuff that can't fit in his backpack with the other items he already is carrying. It is completely improbable for me to call in late to take snacks to the class, unless it is something like his birthday. And, whether it makes sense or not, it's uneconomical for me to provide snacks for the class even once per month. I can personally save money and provide better nutrition by making snacks for my son but because of asinine policies I cannot make snacks for the classroom and store bought products are expensive.
I understand this prevents my son from participating in the "class snack" but that is quite fine. Like I stated, he will always have a snack in the pocket of his backpack. He can also eat whatever is left from his lunch.
Sincerely,
The Mom

The Fat Makes Fun of the Skinny
So apparently I walked too fast pass a group of overweight women because I heard them snickering and one of them actually said "look at that skinny bitch". Omg. I'm sure it pissed her off when I started laughing. At least I didn't break a sweat waking from the parking lot to the store and they parked in the handicap space! This skinny bitch parked in the back of the lot and walked in and out of WalMart in less than 15 minutes. (I stopped to tweet twice.)
This is the second time in a 7-day period some overweight dumbasses laughed at me for being little. Two guys last week mocked me for buying organic and low fat foods.... They were rocking the severely obese flag so hard I was too shock to speak. (Me? Quiet? I know!)
Why does sometimes it looks and sounds like its more acceptable today to be obese than it is to be healthy?!? I'd rather be skinny and healthy any day.

My Baby is Going to First Grade
I cried when I took him to Kindergarten and tomorrow is just as heart breaking. I know I'm not the only one who wish my baby would stay a baby. He doesn't like school but he's ready... For recess and lunch. Lol. Seriously, he has talked about the playground and lunch. He doesn't even pretend to be going for any other reason.
Everything that can be ready is ready. Per his request he has a nice shorts outfit ready. His lunch is packed with PB&J, fruit cups, cookies, and fruit/veggie juice. His backpack is loaded with most of the that ridiculous list and signed paperwork.
Only thing not ready... He has to decide which shoes to wear. I'm suddenly wishing I gave him less option. Lol.
I'm not ready. I really wish he could have stayed a baby. I'm betting every first day every year will be difficult.
Ugh tomorrow morning.
