Spread The Word

2011 Heart Jump Small
Donate Now

I am doing Jump Rope For Heart to help the American Heart Association save lives. Jump Rope For Heart helps kids be healthy by teaching us about our hearts and how to take care of them.

I want to share some important information I learned from school on the warning signs of a heart attack and stroke.  Knowing this information can help save a life.  Be sure to ‘spread the word’ with everyone you know and forward the information on these warning signs.

Jump Rope For Heart also raises money to help people with special hearts.  Some kids have special hearts – and need our help!  The money I raise will help pay for education and for new medicines and treatments to be discovered.  It could help cure heart disease – for everybody!

You can help, too – will you make a donation to my Jump Rope For Heart efforts?  It’s fast and easy to do on my personal Web page! Just use the link below. Or you can mail your donation to me – my address is below.

To make a donation online, visit my personal page or click on the ‘Donate Now’ button to go straight to the donation form.

Heart Attack Warning Signs
Here are signs that can mean a heart attack is happening:

  • Chest discomfort. Most heart attacks involve discomfort in the center of the chest that lasts more than a few minutes, or that goes away and comes back. It can feel like uncomfortable pressure, squeezing, fullness or pain.
  • Discomfort in other areas of the upper body. Symptoms can include pain or discomfort in one or both arms, the back, neck, jaw or stomach.
  • Shortness of breath with or without chest discomfort. Other signs may include breaking out in a cold sweat, nausea or lightheadedness

As with men, women's most common heart attack symptom is chest pain or discomfort. But women are somewhat more likely than men to experience some of the other common symptoms, particularly shortness of breath, nausea/vomiting, and back or jaw pain.

Stroke Warning Signs
If you or someone with you has one or more of these signs, don't delay!

  • Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body
  • Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding
  • Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
  • Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
  • Sudden, severe headache with no known cause

And remember, always call 9-1-1 if you or someone you know has any of the symptoms listed above!

Thank you for helping me be a Heart Hero!  Don’t forget – you can be a Heart Hero too!  Help spread the word on the warning signs for heart attack and stroke.

Just an Addition to my Opinion on Zimmerman/Martin Case

It was Zimmerman's neighborhood; Martin was visiting his dad at his dad's girlfriend's house. This was Martin's 3rd suspension from school so it wasn't like he was this stellar kid on he way to greatness like he's being painted. No college could have gave him a scholarship with that kind of school trouble. The media keeps showing pics from when he was 11 and younger when he reality he was about to be 18.

He was not followed because of wearing a hoodie; per his girlfriend "He said this man was watching him, so he put his hoodie on. He said he lost the man."In other words, an over zealous media has fueled the hoodie issue. At most this is manslaughter but this case is in no way a solid murder case. When you live in a private, gated community you probably are suspicious of people you don't know walking around when its nearly dark and it's wet out.

And for he record, I did my research before posting my opinion. I'm not just conjecturing up ideas here. I'm a person that loves facts. I can't stand one-sided media. This is a terrible situation but it's a lopsided story playing in the media. Too bad because of the recent burglaries nobody had the balls to even look out the window to see what was going on.

And more for the record, the first time my son gets suspended, between the ass beating, the groundment, which will include the loss of ALL privileges including cell phones, visiting friends, and outings of any sort without parental supervision, if he is stupid enough to be suspended again I can ASSURE that there will NOT be a third!

This kid had a privilege life looking at some of his childhood pics (which again is the only pics we are seeing) but he chose repeated bad decisions which included vandalism.

Read the transcript from his girlfriend, when asked what he was doing, and he was NOT from the neighborhood, instead of just answering he questioned as to why he was be watched. We don't know the whole story but this story hasn't gotten ridiculous!
