As we sit on the ground outside (it's only 89°😑) the DMV you definitely have to wonder how a government office is still operating like this. All of the other government offices are allowing people inside but not the DMV. We have an appointment but the sign says not to knock that they'll get us when they are ready for us…. So we sit on our asses and wait. Watching as people who showed up after us talk to someone working here before us.

Btw the girl who spoke to someone before us has no appointment and apparently they are talking walkins now. 😑 They are taking walk-ins on "as they can" basis. Not exactly the words of the examiner but the girl was helped while a man was turned away.

This is the second time trying to get his permit since May 30. His NC Eligibility Certificate is expired. Those things are only good for 30 days but it takes 6 weeks to get an appointment. Hopefully the walk-in thing is for real but this is beyond frustrating.

Can we please get back to pre-Covid?!?
